We know that the success of an estate sale or estate liquidation sale relies heavily on the turnout of buyers and shoppers. A handful of buyers will result in a handful of sales. We also do detailed targeting based on the contents of your sale. Pricing and Appraisal

Regardless of the amount of marketing and turnout for your estate sale, having items that are underpriced or overpriced can be the deciding factor in how well your estate sale performs. Our team does due diligence for all items included in your estate sale from a kitchen fork to a bedroom suite in finding the current market price, what the average sales price is and what a fair price would be for both the seller and the buyer at an estate sale.

The industry average is to price items at or around a 40% deduction of current retail or online value. Why? Unlike retail stores or online sellers who have the advantage of placing something on the shelf and waiting for the right buyer, estate sales are typically held over a 2-3 day period and any sale missed during that time cannot be made up. Items need to be priced to entice the buyer and let them know that they are getting a deal. Many of our buyers are owners of antique, furniture or collectible stores, so they are buying to turn around and sell to their customers. Like many estate sales companies, we start off with a pricing structure that reduces during the time of your estate sale. For example, an item that starts off at $100 on Thursday becomes $75 on Friday and $50 on Saturday. Estate sale buyers and shoppers are familiar with this type of pricing structure.
