Estate Sale in Old Corona del Mar...

A lifelong collection of an educated, artistic couple...

We are delighted to present this beautiful sale with broad collections of Asian art and decorative arts in this  custom home located on one of the most  picturesque streets in old Corona del Mar.

Over 70 years of collecting.....travels to China, Japan, all over Asia and Europe by these cultured, highly educated lifelong Corona del Mar residents....Everywhere you look, another treasure awaits you. 

Buddhas, carved wood figures, glass, bronzes, art, porcelain, blue and white, marble, iron,  rugs, mens clothing, so much of everything in every category...thoughtfully curated and collected made this estate a pleasure to work on..

The setting… You will feel transported back in time in this Frank Lloyd Wright inspired home…all wood, artistic angles, transom windows and plants everywhere….   An artistic cultured well-travelled couple with money… This family loved world travel including Japan, China and Southeast Asia…Europe too….and brought back treasures from everywhere… You will see Buddhas, goddesses, Quan yin, porcelain, Fu Dogs, bronze, carved wood and cast iron, carved hard stone...Japanese Tansus, 19th Century English cabinets, alongside vintage fabrics, linens, lace, cut crystal, stemware, china and porcelain. When they were not travelling they attended local and Los Angeles auctions and bought more gorgeous items to add to their many collections.    There are literally hundreds, perhaps a thousand items for you to peruse. Tables filled with treasures.    I did see some USC Trojan T-shirts and won’t hold it against them. I now know and have come to understand, accept and begun to embrace that there are mixed families and that Trojans and Bruins can peacefully co-exist in the same family and city.     Because of tight spaces in the home as well as limited parking due to construction and the private nature of this community, I need everyone to understand how we are managing this sale:    A) Our intention is to conduct this sale over a few weeks with  very small groups…our email list and private customers have priority. Thank you.    B) We will operate with the utmost discretion including how to park, where to park, enter the house where instructed and no lines outside.   Please read and pay attention to the instructions I send if you receive an appointment. Thank you!

We will begin appointments soon in small groups...so please get in touch if you are interested.

We are unlike other companies in that you cannot just show up. We do not publish the address. We do not allow lists or massive crowds or lines...We do not accept aggressive behavior or language. Nobody misbehaves or acts disrespectfully to anyone including our staff...Our customers shop with us because it is a refugee from the outside world where misbehaving is often now the norm...Our customers feel safe and can relax knowing that people who attend our sales have old fashioned manners and respect one another (and if in the rare case they do not, they are not invited back.)

If you are new to us at Laguna Beach Estate Sales (we like to know our customers) and will require you to provide your full name, email address and a phone number before we commit to giving you an appointment. 

This is for multiple reasons, the primary one being security. It is also to establish protocols we adhere to and that everyone appreciates.
