The Blount County Fire Protection District is offering for sale this 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab 2WD support truck, which has recently been phased out of service. This truck served our department since it was purchased brand new and has been consistently maintained throughout its life.

Service History & Mechanical Details

This truck is built on the robust Work Truck (W/T) package, featuring a durable Vortec 4.8L V8 SFI Gas Engine paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. While the odometer currently shows 216,394 miles, the truck received a replacement engine in 2017, which now has approximately 70,000 miles on it, offering significantly lower mileage on the core powertrain component.

The vehicle runs and drives, but the new owner should be prepared for some scheduled maintenance. The truck currently has a known oil leak at the rear main seal, oil pan, and oil cooler, and is being sold "as-is, where-is" to account for this necessary repair.
