Inclined Transfer Conveyor C-2

MachineX chain roller conveyors are especially designed for hard conditions with sturdy construction and functional design. When the MRC was operational and still processing recyclables the inclined conveyor C-2 transferred material from infeed conveyor C-1 to the pre-sort conveyor C-3. Refer to Section 3.5 of the MachineX service manual for additional details.

Line Number: Containers

Size / Dimensions: 36” wide X 47’-11 ½” long

Reducer (Model and Mounting Position): SK8382 M6

Power: 7.5 HP

Power Supply: 575 V, 3

Special Considerations:
The inclined conveyor described above is located along the southern wall of the MRC, adjacent to an elevated platform above the MRC floor. As the platform is elevated a railing system has been installed for worker safety. In addition, a reinforced concrete block wall (~3-4 metres high) is located parallel to inclined conveyed. The successful bidder will be required to take site conditions into considerations when developing their bid. The equipment will be required to be removed from the western side of the MRC within the container unloading/loading area. Coordination with Regional staff will be required during the removal activities. It is strongly encouraged that all potential bidders attend the non-mandatory site visit to fully assess site conditions.

Reason for being Auctioned:
As of March 2, 2024 the Regional Municipality of Waterloo (Region) transferred the management of the residential blue box program to Circular Materials. This was done as part of the provincial framework where producers are fully responsible for the end-of-life of blue box materials. The Material Recycling Centre (MRC) located at the Waterloo Landfill Site (925 Erb Street West, Waterloo, ON) is now being utilized as a transfer station. As such, the Region is looking to complete the sale of the recycling processing equipment as it is no longer required for operation.

Non-Mandatory Bidders’ Meeting:
A non-mandatory site visit will be held on Tuesday October 21st, 2025 at 10:00 AM for approximately one (1) hour. All attendees should have suitable PPE including at minimum a safety vest and steel toe boots. Meet at the Waterloo Landfill Administration Building, located at 925 Erb Street West, Waterloo, ON.
