11 Acres - 4 Combined Parcels - Near Oak Hill / Cape Canaveral
Surrounded by Magical Forest!
This property is being offered for public online auction on GovDeals. Property auction is currently open for bidding and closes 11/9/2025; view here - https://govdeals.bid/3WEbbRT
Discover a rare stretch of untouched 11.25 acres - four (4) adjoining parcels near Oak Hill, FL. These four adjoining parcels total over 11 acres within the boundaries of the legendary John Low Grant, one of Florida’s earliest Spanish-era land holdings later confirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1842. You can hold the property as an investment with minimal annual taxes (less than $100 for all four parcels for 2024), use it as a hedge against inflation, flip it for future profit, or hold it as a long-term asset to build generational wealth.
History: My research suggests that these parcels form a part of the storied John Low Grant, one of Florida’s original Spanish-era land concessions confirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1842. Nestled near the headwaters of the Indian River Lagoon in southern Volusia County, the area was first surveyed by George J. F. Clarke under Governor José Coppinger in the early 1800s. Portions of that early boundary survey still shape today’s property lines, giving this parcel a rare connection to Florida’s pioneer past. Owning land here means owning a small piece of the landscape that helped define the state’s earliest chapter of settlement and exploration.
Soft Access: The parcels are immediately accessible from the west. The property’s western boundary adjoins the Turnbull Hammock conservation lands managed by the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD). Although the District maintains no formal public entrances or roads there, access on foot through the forested area from the west is permitted. Visitors may walk in from the District land to reach the property, but no clearing, trail construction, or vehicle use is allowed.
Hard Access: The plat suggests that access easements connect to Mayton Rd. located about 2000 ft away
