Northville Watch & Clock Shop was a true family legacy one that will be deeply missed by the community it served for over five decades. Founded in 1973 by Mel and Lois Anderson, whose love of timepieces began with collecting and selling antique clocks at local antique shows in the early 1960s, the shop grew into something far greater than a business it became a cherished institution.
At the height of their operation, the Andersons owned three metro-Detroit locations, making them the largest retail clock dealer in the region, selling thousands of grandfather clocks, wall clocks, and shelf clocks to families across Southeast Michigan. Generation after generation, the Anderson family showed up not just as merchants, but as neighbors.
Sadly, after more than 50 years of extraordinary service, Northville Watch & Clock Shop has closed its doors for the final time. Tucked inside a beautiful Victorian home in the heart of downtown Northville, the shop was a place where Rolex and Omega certified repairs met genuine small-town hospitality where house calls were still made on grandfather clocks and every customer was treated like family.
The Anderson legacy deserves a proper farewell, and the family has chosen Estate Auction Experts of Michigan to conduct their official liquidation auction. It is an honor we do not take lightly. Whether you are a lifelong customer, a clock collector, or simply someone who appreciates craftsmanship that has stood the test of time, we invite you to be part of this final chapter and perhaps take home a little piece of Northville history.
