The Mid-Century Modern section includes signed Andy Warhol and Victor Vasarely prints, Klaus Ihlenfeld sculpture, furniture by Knoll, Wassily chairs, Frank Lloyd Wright chairs along with Scandinavian design by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen. Additional modern design includes teak and walnut furniture, lounge seating, and modern tables.

Other furniture highlights include a rare Charles Rohlfs dining table, sideboard, and chairs, a David Rittenhouse tall case clock, a Philadelphia Chippendale side chair, Thomas Moser wing chairs, and additional modern and traditional furnishings.

The historic section features items from the American Revolution through Hollywood's golden age, including John Hancock's shipping documents, Congressional journals, and Founding Fathers' autographs. It also showcases Gold Rush correspondence, a Quaker anti-slavery archive, Civil War soldier letters, and WWI posters.

Entertainment memorabilia includes a collection of items, ephemera and photographs that once belonged to screen legend Lauren Bacall.

Read Before Bidding | Live Online Auctions

Auction is open for pre-bidding at alderferauction.com until Thursday, June 11th at 10AM, at which time pre-bidding will cease and the auction will go live at the auction center (no live audience, just our auctioneer and auction staff). When the auction goes live, lots will be sold one at a time, in numerical order, by a live auctioneer who will be taking bids from multiple online bidding platforms, absentee and phone bids. During pre-bidding you are able to submit a max (maximum) bid. The bidding platform or our auction staff will bid on your behalf up to the maximum bid that you have entered. Once the auction goes live if you wish to increase your bid you will have to wait until that lot opens for bidding and enter any additional bids manually.

Pick-Up

Successful Bidders will be notified to schedule a pick-up following the auction. Schedule your pick-up with Alderfer Auction by following this link: https://booking.appointy.com/alderferauction. Customers must schedule or inform Alderfer Auction of pickup or ship date and time, within fifteen (15) business days after the auction closes. On the sixteenth (16) business day, the buyer will incur a storage fee of $5.00 per day up to the 60th day at which point the product will be considered abandoned despite payment status and without notification.
